Et Cetera Spumante: A Unique Wine Label Design

The design inspiration for Et Cetera Spumante came from the brand's unique style, with the aim to make the product truly unique. The design agency introduced certain innovations while maintaining the brand's signature style. The common element is the ellipsis sign, a trademark of the brand, which serves as an eye-stopper and emphasizes the elegance and high level of the product.

What sets this design apart is its front label, which consists of three separate bands, each carrying informative elements. These bands are connected through the ellipsis sign of the brand logo. The front label attracts attention thanks to its modular structure, offering specific information in each band. This design reflects the character of the product, marking a debut in the sparkling wine category for an already established producer.

The design was realized using special artistic paper with bronze foil stamping. The front label measures 140 mm x 70 mm, with each band measuring 140 mm x 21 mm, and the back label measuring 105 mm x 47 mm. The label shape was designed to look like it's composed of three individual elements wrapped around the bottle, with the brand's trademark serving as the focal point that brings all the elements together.

The design project took place from September to December 2016. It was a challenge for the agency as they had to expand the product line according to the common style of the trademark while launching a sparkling wine for the first time in the brand's history. The design had to reflect the importance of this moment, the product's exclusivity, while also retaining the continuity with respect to the already existing product line.

The design was awarded Silver in A' Packaging Design Award in 2017, rewarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
